THE WASHINGTON, DC FILM SOCIETY ANNOUNCES WINNERS FOR “THE BEST OF 2005″
WASHINGTON, DC: The Washington, DC Film Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to an appreciation of film, today announced the winners for “The Best of 2005″ Members voted for the best film, performances, director and foreign film of 2005. The winners for “The Best of 2005″ are:

Brokeback Mountain
BEST DIRECTOR:
Ang Lee, Brokeback Mountain
BEST ACTOR:
Philip Seymour Hoffman, Capote
BEST ACTRESS:
Felicity Huffman, Transamerica
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: (tie)
George Clooney, Syriana
Jake Gyllenhaal, Brokeback Mountain
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:

BEST FOREIGN FILM

Between January 1, 2006 and January 31, 2006, the members of the Washington, DC Film Society cast email ballots for the best movie, performers, director and foreign film of the previous year.
