I see a lot of horror movies and the overwhelming majority of them suck. The cause is probably some combination of factors including the not insignificant point that the people least likely to know how to make a good movie are the ones most likely to be employed on a horror movie. It could also be that these movies are made for an audience that seems to be most forgiving of movies that lack the little things like story, character, suspense, etc. (porn viewers are typically more demanding and discriminatory). But perhaps the problem is me. When I think of how few movies I have seen since graduating grammar school that actually frightened me, it may be that I am just not properly affected by horror movies to truly appreciate the charms that are an Uwe Boll opus.

JOE’S REVIEW: “X-MEN: THE LAST STAND”
“X-Men: The Final Stand”, like the blockbusters that have preceeded it, is full of ound and fury when it comes to special effects. Unlike the previous two “X” extravagazas, this one in lacking in the subtle social commentary and complex relationships that made the first two films popular with both fans of the comics and hose just discovering the series.
